First Day of School
Hello Parents!
What a great first day we had here in PK3.2!
We spent the morning making friends and enjoying our classroom. We sang welcome songs to learn each other's names and took a little time to shake our bodies. We explored our interest areas and learned how to clean up, ate our snacks together and played in the playground.
We read "Happy Hippo, Angry Duck", by Sandra Boynton. Children then shared their feelings with their friends.
Ms. Nicole started assisting children in decorating their Kiss Jar, so if you didn't get it today you will get it on Monday.
At the end of the day, we said our good-byes with big smiles and wishing everyone the best weekend!
About the backpacks!
Rolling or regular backpacks with lots of things inside makes it hard for them to get their lunchboxes out by themselves. Also, we have limited space inside the classroom.
Please support us by sending your child's food and water in 1 easy to carry lunchbox.
If we need anything else, we can send you a request.

Tips for Snacks!
A healthy lunch box full of fresh food gives your child the energy to concentrate, learn and play all day.
At the beginning of the year, kids might not eat a lot due to excitement! Not to worry, we want to encourage them to eat! So here are a few tips gathered from different resources.
- Children are happier choosing from a small range of foods. Please send just 2-3 options (example: half a sandwich and a banana; yogurt and crackers; cereal and fruit...)
- Always pack a bottle with tap water for your child to drink
- Choose foods that are simple and easy to eat
Involve your child in planning and preparing their lunchbox – kids are more likely to try foods that they’ve been involved in selecting and making
Make it fun to eat! Be creative and have fun with it!
