Congratulations Wildcats! We are so proud of you!
Welcome to our New Grade 8 Guidance Counselor!
I am THRILLED to join the WMHS Guidance team and work closely with grades 8, 9, & 10!
Although I am new to the role, I have been a classroom teacher at Westport High School for 14 years. My work as an educator has always been inspired by the belief that schools have a responsibility to educate the whole child. Now, as a Guidance Counselor at WMHS, it will be my priority to improve student achievement; promote positive social development; and prepare all students to become successful adults.
To achieve these objectives, it is my hope that I can use my experience to build lasting relationships, while nurturing existing ones. I truly believe that relationships are the foundation upon which successful schools are built. Gratefully, I have been able to connect with many of you already this year. I look forward to connecting with many more students, families and staff in the weeks ahead.
I know WMHS! It is an inclusive and cooperative community where ALL students have the opportunity to reach their full potential and where every student matters! As I make this transition, please be assured that I will make every effort to support you and your children in any way I can. While I have a lot to learn, I want to know what I can do for you!
Sincerely,
Christina Borges
