From Mrs. Ray
Hello Birmingham Bears!
Next Wednesday, April 4th, is our Ripples of HOPE Day. This is part of our Wylie Way curriculum where we will review the word HOPE.
Students have learned that HOPE is knowing that tomorrow can be better than today and that they have the power to make it happen! Students will be filling out HOPE cards to be given to another person that has given them HOPE. This can be someone within the school or outside of school. Our goal is to remind students that even when we go through difficult times, we can find HOPE with the help of positive people in our lives.
What Else is Coming Up for Wylie Way?
Safety Patrol- Red Group- March 26-April 13
Ripples of Hope- Wednesday, April 4
Day of Gratitude- Wednesday, April 18
Bear love,

A Note From Nurse Abby...
Healthy Fun Fact:
The US Department of Health and Human Services national recommendation is that children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years should have 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of physical activity each day.
Most of the 60 or more minutes a day should be either moderate- or vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity at least 3 days a week. These guidelines also encourage children and adolescents to participate in physical activities that are appropriate for their age, that are enjoyable, and that offer variety.
The temperatures are rising and the sun will be shining for a little bit this weekend, so use this opportunity to be outside and take a family walk. The trail by the Library/Rec center is a great spot!
Stay Healthy and Happy Easter!
