Staff Celebration Email from CJ
Westview Staff,
Let's get ready to celebrate the conclusion of another wonderful year at Westview. I think we should make a weekend of it!
I'd like to invite everyone down to Lola's Room @ McMenamins downtown for an evening of decade dancing at the 80's Video Dance Attack on FRIDAY, JUNE 7th at 9pm.
Then... join me and husband Jackson at our home after the Graduation Ceremony on SUNDAY, JUNE 9th around 1:30pm just after Graduation. We will have plenty of food, drink, and some outdoor games. Address info provided at Graduation, but for those who want to get it into your calendar now, we are at 2643 N Russet St. Just about a 4 minute drive from the Chiles Center.
* Furl and Nancy will also have a hand in the post Graduation festivities.
Let's share some time together as a staff celebrating our work with kids and with one another this year!
Westview High School's Second Annual Golf Tournament
Please join us at the second annual Westview Golf tournament at Rock Creek Country Club. This is a fundraising event dedicated to improving our school facilities and equipment. Last year we were able to raise enough funds to put a fence around our track which has helped with athletic events, PE classes, and safety as we replaced the cord that previously surrounded the track. This year we are raising funds to buy a utility vehicle to transport students if they are injured, set up events, haul items, and allow quick access to our outside facilities.
If you are interested in playing in the tournament you can sign up at tinyurl.com/WestviewGolf. It cost $100 per player and that comes with 18 holes, dinner, golf cart, entrance in the KP/Long Drives and range balls. We also hold a silent auction and raffle at the event. If you are interested in donating or sponsoring the tournament please contact Troy Christiansen (503)356-3056 or via email troy_christiansen@beaverton.k12.or.us
Teacher Laptops
As in years past, teachers will turn their laptops, power cords, adapters, and cases, into their schools for the summer. For teachers who need the laptop during the summer for required District work, a school administrator may grant an exception for use throughout the summer. For these exceptions, staff need to fill out this form following administrator approval: https://forms.gle/pF85HtVkdgDQs61m8
*Note: Staff who will be transferring to a different school should check their laptop into their former school in the spring and return to the former school in the fall to check it out for the 2019-2020 school year.
End of the Year Technology Tips and how to Backup Files:
Before leaving for summer break:
- Submit a BSD Help Desk ticket for any improperly working computers.
