A Note from Mrs. Rothman
Dear Titus Students and Families,
This is a bittersweet moment for me. I have so loved being part of the Titus community for 26 years- the majority of my teaching career- yet the time has come for me to begin the next chapter of my life.
In light of my retirement, I have been reflecting upon my experiences at Titus over the years. There are so many to remember, but they include multiple renovations, redistricting to Jamison and then to Mill Creek, new curriculum for every subject, new grade levels, new programs, new teachers, and new administrators. However, it was the new students I was blessed to teach each year that provided the real joy and challenge on a daily basis that I wouldn’t have traded for the world. There was never a dull moment!
While traditions are more static, I will miss them as well! From my own Chanukah party and Pi Day activities to Paws for Pride assemblies and Bingo Night (to name just a few), there was always something to celebrate! It put a smile on my face to be able to be a contributor in any way to these events that brought such happiness to so many!
Now I celebrate all of you: my present and former students and all Titus families. I thank you all so much for bringing such meaning to my life as an educator. I am forever changed and grateful!
While I will sorely miss my Titus family, I am also excited for my future. I will have more time for my family and friends, art, volunteer work, and travel. And in the spirit of education, I plan to “never stop learning-” at least one new thing a month!
Thank you all again, and I wish you all the best!
Helene Rothman
