Description
Champs d'Elysees is a very famous boulevard located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It is a cool and fun place to go with friends because of its stores, entertainment and.... Food!
History
It was started in 1616 by King Henry IV's wife, named Marie de Medici. She wanted it to lead up to the Palais des Tuileries. It was extend in 1724, and then in 1836 was when Paris made it their municipal property so they added fountains, put gas lamps and placed the Arc de Triomphe at the end to honor the people who had fought the napoleonic wars.

Fun Facts!
- It translates to Elysian Fields, which in Greek Mythology means "heaven".
- It's 1.9 kilometres long or 1.25 miles long.
- It is a fun place to go because there is lots of entertainment, shopping places and food!
- Many parades are placed here like on Bastille Day
