STM III: A Reflective Moment
The Holy Moment
The biggest lie in the history of Christianity is a lie we tell ourselves: Holiness is not possible. When it comes to the life of a Christian, the main thing is that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to save us from our sinful brokenness--and now he calls us to live holy lives! Can you create just one holy moment? Not a holy day, or a holy, hour, or even a holy fifteen minutes--just one holy moment. A holy moment is a moment where you are being the person God created you to be, and you are doing what God is calling you to do at that moment. Once you can create one holy moment you can replicate these small moments as many times as you decide to. It is important to note that we need God's grace to create holy moments. But God will never deny us the grace we need. Opportunities to create holy moments are everywhere. Holiness is possible!

Question for reflection: What are some examples of holy moments you can create in this time of pandemic? In your home? For your students? For you neighbors or community?
Summary of Joint Deanery Meeting
Prayer of Pope Francis to Mary during Coronavirus Pandemic
O Mary,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.
You, salvation of the people,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows to lead us,
through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection.
Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the
entreaties of us who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
