June 2022 Newsletter
Dear CCES Families,
How is it even possible that my first year is almost complete here at CCES? This year seems to have flown by and let me tell you it has been a phenomenal year. I read a quote once that said this, "The most beautiful things in life aren't just things. They're people, and places, memories and pictures. They're feelings and moments and smiles and laughter." I have had the utmost honor and privilege of enjoying many of these "beautiful things in life" this year as your principal.
I have had many opportunities to meet new faces, join in the learning that happened in the classrooms, make memories with many of our staff, students, and families, as well as experience limitless smiles and laughter. I remember the first day of school when I had an opportunity to meet and greet so many of our students, it was so much fun. I will never forget the first day I got to truly experience the smiles of others that I had never seen before. I was able to help people through some of their best days and, well, some of their not-so-best days as well. I watched your families and students grow in learning, stature, maturity, as well as, love, kindness, and strength. I am so very proud of each and every one of our students, teachers, staff, and families. We worked hard together through this year with all that it brought and well, we made it! I will never forget the days that built the journey of my first year here. None of this would have been possible without the students, staff, families, and communities of CCES.
I will be forever grateful for your kindness, generosity, grace, flexibility, and support throughout this past year. So from the deepest parts of my heart, THANK YOU! I am truly looking forward to even greater years in the future ahead.
I want to wish you the very best summer! Make memories, take a deep breath, and enjoy the "things" that make life special. We will see you next year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Carr
Summer School Update
We have begun our planning for Central Community Elementary summer school program. We have approximately 40 students invited to attend. Much like last year we will be focusing on maintaining skills, building social connections and enhancing engagement to school. We will be touching upon strategies students will need for their upcoming school year while building creative and engaging experiences for all. Most activities will be held outside, weather permitting. Transportation, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
