LEARN
Coaches Corner
This is a comprehensive list of virtual opportunities for PD, teaching and learning resources, and field trips for our students.
Assistant Principals' Corner
AP Corner 1:
Central Office is no longer passing out devices. If you know of any students and families who have left Marietta City Schools, please inform them they have to return their devices to CO. Families may return their devices to CO on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM.
Fifth-grade teachers, if you know your students are leaving Marietta City Schools, they may return their devices to Mrs. Renshaw on Thursday when they pick up their gifts/awards.
AP Corner 2:
Grades
Grades must be entered for all students no later than noon on Friday, May 22nd (i.e. before the Staff Meeting). Send an email to Ashley confirming you followed all of the required steps for entering.
K-2 and Specials teachers: You also must enter a P/F for a final grade in each content area. Only use "F" if a student is being retained.
3-5 and Specials teachers: Students must show a final grade for each content area. This is a numerical grade in the academic content areas and a "P/F" in the special content areas.

Future PD
In preparation for next year, I would like us to take advantage of some PD sessions over the summer. The coaches and I are working on creating some PDs in June in order to protect your pre-planning time in July. Dates will be coming out soon. We will be offering professional development on the following:
- Running Records
- Unpacking grade-level standards
- Administering F &Ps
- Lesson Plans
- Pearson and Math Workshop
- Taking anecdotal notes
- What to do when kids are not in small groups
- Guided Reading online

THRIVE
New Logos
Please replace any old logos or Panthers with the new logos or the Panthers for our PBIS model. Some of you have paw prints and old logos on your email signatures, please change these as well. I will send the filed via email, but they are posted below as well.
New Classroom Spaces
- What your classroom theme will be?
- What colors you will use?
- How will you organize your supplies and materials?
- What will you display on your bulletin board inside your classroom?
- How do you want your parents and students to feel when they walk into your room?
If you need decorating help or ideas, feel free to reach out to Heather or me and pick our brains. Pinterest is also a wonderful resource. I have included some picture ideas below and a link to the School Girl Style website (she is one of my favorites for classroom design). https://schoolgirlstyle.com/
Every classroom and office space should have either a color scheme or a theme.
