-Started by rejecting Sigmund Freuds theory of penis envy. It was a term used by men when they were angry at women to say that women were jealous of their man parts.
-Came back with the term of womb envy to oppose Sigmund Freud
-By opposing his theory, she contributed to psychoanalysis which is studying the mind to try and treat mental and emotional disorders. Also studies the role of the unconscious mind
