The Sequiota Scoop
Monthly School Newsletter - October 2021
Our Mission Statement
"Sequiota is a school family of respectful, safe, and responsible learners growing together to build a positive community"
A Note from Mrs. Wagner
Happy October! This is one of my favorite months. I love the change in weather and the transition into the Holiday Season.
It was WONDERFUL to see all of you inside our building for Open House! It brings an entirely different energy to our school when our families can come inside. Thank you for taking the time to come and let your children show off their classrooms and learning.
We look forward to seeing all of you back in the building for Parent/Teacher Conferences the week of Oct. 25-29. Please check for sign-up links from your child's teachers (via email or newsletter) to sign-up for your conferences.
Additionally, make sure you scroll down to check out the details for a PTA sponsored Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 21.
Happy Fall,
-Mrs. Wagner
PBIS - Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
A couple of examples of our implementation of PBIS include our behavior matrix (see graphic below - click on it for an easier to read version) and our Celebrate Sequiota Slips.
One of the acronyms that we use at Sequiota to reinforce positive behavior is KHFOOTY
- Keep
- Hands
- Feet
- and Other
- Objects
- to Yourself
This is an expectation that falls under the category of RESPECT on our behavior matrix.
We encourage you to ask your children about KHFOOTY and reinforce this practice with them at home.
