Staff Spotlight - Corinne Sowar

Corinne is our Head of School for Mercury Arizona. We appreciate all that you do Corinne!

Corinne shares....

I was born in the Panama Canal Zone, and grew up in Denver, CO. I studied Environmental Planning with GIS (I love finding the tech side of every field) and Modern Languages (just for fun). After college, I joined a program that allowed me to teach English in Toulon, France for a year, and ended up staying for 5. While there, I was introduced to computer-based / hybrid education through an English school where I taught, and was amazed at the success rate. I returned to the US to complete my Master of Education, and continued to work in the online ed field as a teacher, student advisor, and Director of Curriculum. I love researching new technology and the opportunities it brings to individualize learning and promote student success.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ with my boyfriend and Jack Russell puppy. I have a son in college, and I’m enjoying an empty-nester lifestyle which has come far too soon. When I’m not working with our wonderful Mosaica families, I like to try new restaurants, travel, camp, and simply relax in front of the TV.

Mercury Sunshine!

Let me know of any concerns or celebrations within our Mercury family!

Data Discussion...

Please remove the SCANTRON WIDGET from your D2L course pages. We don't want any students logging in during the holidays, clogging the system with unnecessary data. This widget needs to be replaced with a new TEST PREP widget, to be updated with released test items from state assessments over the next few months. These practice test items and strategies will be coming your way, so be sure to rotate them to populate this widget as we approach our testing windows in 2013. You may also wish to use the links below to access released items from their respective state department of education:
