Uranium is named after the greek god Uranus and was discovered by a scientist named Martin Klaproth. This is an expensive metal, 9 dollars for 100 grams in bulk. Uranium is a pretty cool metal, it used mainly for war though. Depleted uranium is used in armor piercing rounds for the military. Uranium is most popular for its contribution in World War 2 though, Uranium was used in the nuke "Little Boy."
