Christmas Card Photo - Nov. 13 at 1:45 p.m.

The Xmas Card Photo shoot has been moved to this Thursday, Nov 13th at 1:50pm. Please be outside ready to take photo at 1:45 p.m. We are still going with the KC Royals theme so please bring or wear your KC Royals garb. The plan is to take the pictures outside and it sounds like it might be a little cold. We'll play this part by ear.....maybe add a Royals coat, gloves and/or scarves to your KC Royals selection. See you then!

PD Nov. 13 & 14

Thursday, Nov. 13 we will kick off our PD with our Christmas card photo at 1:50 p.m. outside (be outside ready with props, etc. at 1:45 so we can begin pictures at 1:50 p.m.). We will then begin with our BLT presenting an activity on "effective teams" in the library directly after the photo. Other topics that will be discuss on Thursday are Standards Reference Reporting (SRR) and safety/security. In the morning on Friday, Nov. 14 you will be with your district grade level team to work further on curriuculum, as well as, receive additional information on Teacher Ease . Friday afternoon you will return to your building to work with your grade level team to implement areas of curriculum discussed in the morning. More details of location (third grade at Shull all other grade levels at same location as earlier this year) & agendas will be sent out soon!

Teacher Ease Q&A for Nov. 14 PD

Friday morning is district PD where grade levels will once again meet from throughout the district. During the morning, folks from district will be around to discuss TeacherEase questions. To aide in their focus with only 30 min at each site, we are asking teachers using the system to list any questions,celebrations or suggestions about TeacherEase specifically by this Thursday at noon, at which time they will review them and come prepared on Friday. Thank you. Our district goal continues to be as timely and helpful as possible in supporting you with TE. This will help accomplish that!


Updating Benchmark Grids Quarterly

Just a reminder... benchmark grids should be updated quarterly....one week after the quarter ends. Please make sure you have updated your grid (including PTR & Moby Max) by next Friday, Nov. 21. Thank you!

Morning Announcements

We appreciate your help in making sure you play the morning announcements before Tiger Time each day. Be on the look out from time to time for special 7 Habits activities. Our fourth grade leaders are working hard to be leaders and creating announcements for our school family and we want to make sure all classes are getting the announcements. Thank you for your continued help!

Updating Rescheduled Conferences

Continue to update the tab on the shared Parent Teacher Conference 14-15 as you hold rescheduled parent teacher conferences. We need to continuously update district as rescheduled conferences are held. Thank you for your help with updating!

Tiger Time Reminder

We always want to make sure we are providing the intervention students need through out the day including during our Tiger Time block. In order to maximize students' learning during our Tiger Time intervention block, it is always data driven and targeted in order to help students focus on areas of growth. The Tiger Time music begins at 8:58 a.m. and stops at 9:00 a.m. to signify time for instruction to begin. When Tiger Time is over the music begins at 9:30 a.m. to allow two minutes travel time for fourth graders to make it to specials by 9:35 a.m. The Tiger Time goal is to always have 30 minutes of uninterrupted instruction data driven.

Thanksgiving Lunch- Thursday, November 20

Our annual Thanksgiving Lunch is just around the corner! Many of our families look forward to this annual event. We will have approximately 1,000 people onsite this day. Our focus for will be an enjoyable and thankful fellowship, positive PR, and security. Please carefully read the following Thanksgiving Lunch Procedures listed on this shared document:

Call for Proposals-"Whatever It Takes Conference"

Your Professional Development Committee is bringing back the concept of the "Whatever It Takes Conference". They are still looking for presenters! This will be a morning of PD delivered by your peers in RAYPEC. We will be having this event January 20, 2015, but our PDC needs your help! .Please review the link below for information, and where you can find the form to make your proposal.

Supporting Isaiah

Currently, Samantha Allen is determining how many people would be interested in purchasing a t-shirt to support a member of our school family who has a rare medical condition that causes regression of milestones. This is Isaiah's second year in her classroom and he is pretty amazing kid. He loves coming to school, being with his friends, and he has a contagious smile. We are able to purchase t-shirts to support Isaiah and proceeds from the t-shirts go towards finding a cure for his medical condition. T-shirts are priced at $20.00. At this point Samantha is only looking for interest in purchasing, not a commitment to purchasing. If we have 25 or more people interested in ordering then we will be able to start the ordering.
