THANK YOU to all who supported our Anderson's Book Fair. We had total sales of $6,815.26.

Mrs. Faith and Mrs. Ruppenthal are working on creating a list of books to enhance the LC. We took earnings in book profits so they have a total of $3,066.82 to be used towards new books!

Breakfast Buddies is back by popular demand!

Breakfast Buddies is a fun event that takes place before school in the gym 7:15 am to 8:00 am. Students can invite a special someone (parent, aunt/uncle, grandparent, older sibling, etc.) to come have breakfast with them in the Scott School Gym.

Also, coming soon - Yearbook Cover Contest! This year we are celebrating the many talents and interests of all Scott Eagles and invite all students to submit a yearbook cover design. All designs will be featured in the book and Scott staff will vote for the front cover. The 2023-2024 Scott yearbook title is From the Eagle's Nest...Our Story to Tell.

Early identification of potential vision and hearing problems is crucial to academic success. The Illinois Child Vision and Hearing Test Act (410 ILCS 205), mandates vision and hearing screening programs for preschool and school age children.

• Hearing screening is mandated to be offered for students in grades PK, K, 1, 2 and 3.
• Vision screening is mandated to be offered for students in grades PK, K, 2 and 8.
• Hearing and vision screenings are also conducted for transfer students and students who receive special education annually.

All parents have the option to opt out of screening. Hearing & Vision Screening is taking place at Scott School on Wednesday, October 4th. If you do not want your student screened, please notify the health office at your student’s school at 630-420-6478.

Required Medical Form Reminder:

ALL Students New to Illinois:

• A physical examination on an Illinois Physical form within one year prior to the first day of school with updated immunizations is due by October 15, 2023. Please be sure a parent/guardian completes, signs and dates the Health History portion of the physical before it is turned in, as the physical is not valid without this information.

• A vision examination by an eye doctor on an Illinois Eye Exam form is due by October 15, 2023.

• A dental examination on an Illinois Dental Exam form dated any time after November 15, 2022 through May 15, 2024 and is due by May 15, 2024.

ALL Kindergarten Students:
