Bookfest

On Friday, May 14th, 5th Grade was very excited to participate in the VIRTUAL OMG BookFest event. OMG BookFest is a celebration of books aimed at the early to middle grade reader (ages 7-12) that brings together commercial and award-winning authors with local communities for an exciting experience of books, games and activities. This year students were able to virtually visit with nearly 25 authors!

OMG BookFest partnered with Anderson’s Bookstore to put together an amazing website for you to explore. Here you will be able to browse the authors on each panel, learn about their lives as authors, and purchase SIGNED COPIES of their books.

REMINDER for In Person Families

Families need to use ParentVUE to self-certify that students coming on campus are free of COVID-like symptoms. Each school day families login to ParentVUE, you will see a screen asking you to self-certify that your child is symptom free. This must be done each day by 8:15 am prior to your child arriving at school. If this step is not completed and your child is at school, a health services staff member will call you to discuss your child’s health status. We ask that you please monitor your child’s health closely and keep them home if they aren’t feeling well. You can report your child’s absence using ParentVUE after completing the self-certification process.
