Adler Youth Civic Hack Day
Join us on June 1 for free hacking workshops!
Lockpicking, 3D design, songwriting... all for free!
On June 1, the Adler Planetarium is hosting a Civic Hack Day to participate in the nation-wide National Day of Civic Hacking, which brings together average citizens, software developers and entrepreneurs to develop solutions to the challenges faced by our communities.
To open up Civic Hack Day, the Adler will host a series of FREE drop-in hacking workshops for young people ages 13 and up. Workshops will include quadcopter programming, music writing and arrangement, Google SketchUp, light projects, mobile app development, LEGO Mindstorms, Snap Circuits hacking, 3D design, lockpicking, career skills, and more!
In addition, admission to the Adler will be FREE for all Chicago Public School students with registration and a valid CPS Photo ID!

Join us on June 1 for drop-in and regularly scheduled workshops from 11am to 3pm. Once you're in the building, you are free to explore our museum as well.
