Principal's Message from Mrs. Sierra
The start of the new school year is just around the corner and our staff is already hard at work preparing for the year. My name is Christine Sierra and I am so excited to serve as the new principal at Calk-Wilson Elementary. I am beginning my 25th year as an educator with CCISD and my 11th year as a principal. I am truly honored to become part of this community, which has already given me such a warm welcome! In just the few interactions I’ve had with staff, students and families so far, it’s become abundantly clear that this school is a unique and special place.
All of us at Calk-Wilson Elementary are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be "GREAT" as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant and build positive relationships. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-staff, students, and parents/guardians-are excited to be here! Calk-Wilson Elementary is a wonderful learning community. We will do our best to ensure our Champions have a successful, happy, and safe year.
Please make sure you are following us on our Calk-Wilson Elementary Facebook page and visit our campus website at https://www.facebook.com/CalkWilson to view important information about our campus. I will also send out important updates via Canvas and School Messenger as well so please make sure we have your most up to date email on file. You can do this by contacting our office at 878-2680. If you have ongoing questions or concerns, please call me at the school or email me at cesierra@ccisd.us. I want you and your children to have a positive experience at Calk-Wilson Elementary!

Dismissal Preparation for the 2022-2023 School Year: Sibling/Carpool Students
We are preparing for the new school year and want to make sure dismissal runs as smoothly as possible. Our goal is to prepare car tags for parents/guardians who need to pick up siblings/car pool students and have them available for you at Meet the Teacher on August 8th.
If you will not be picking up more than one student at dismissal the following information below will not pertain to your child.
If you have multiple students you will pick up during dismissal, please click on the QR code below that best applies to you.
We have two options for sibling/carpool student pick-up. They are as follows:
1. You have a PK or Kinder student with a sibling/carpool student in Grades 1-5.
2. You have 1st-5th siblings/carpool students only.
Please view the two separate QR codes below.
If you fill out the information on the QR code by 11:59 p.m. on August 7th, your car tag will be available for pick-up at Meet the Teacher on August 8th. If you are not able to join us for Meet the Teacher your child will take home their car tag on the first day of school.
If you do not fill out the information on the QR code by August 7th, we will reopen the link for you to complete it beginning at 5:00 p.m. on August 8th. This means we will not be able to provide you with a sibling/carpool car tag until Thursday, August 11th. Therefore, you will need to pick up your children at each of our pick-up areas assigned to their grade level. Once you complete the information by scanning the QR code, we will be able to provide you with a car tag for sibling/carpool dismissal.
Please contact the office at 878-2860 if you have any questions.
