Happy New Year Fronteras Families!
Welcome back to an awesome 2nd semester! We hope you all enjoyed a fantastic winter break, and are looking forward to heading into spring with us!
A BIG THANK YOU to parent Alan Prosser and son Dimistri, for spending two afternoons chiseling and shoveling the super compacted snow off of our front sidewalk. That was a giant job! We appreciate you very very much!
Please remember that Monday is a holiday – there is no school for district students and employees.
We have a few items coming up in February:
· 6th – MSBSD Budget Open House in Fronteras Gym – come learn what the school district’s funding looks like for FY18
· 17th – Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences
· 25th – Saturday of Science (for grades K-3)
Have a fabulous extended weekend!
Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Hutchins

APC Board News
Dear Fronteras community-
Please be advised that the APC Board will not be meeting for the month of January. Some of our Spring meeting dates have changed as well due to conflicts with holidays and breaks. As always, Fronteras community members are encouraged to join us for monthly meetings.
In addition, our Fronteras APC Board annual elections will take place in April 2017. Please watch for more information on elections in the coming months. There are also several committees that need parent involvement. You do not need to be a member of the APC Board in order to participate in committees. If you have any questions or are interested in serving on a committee, please feel free to contact me or any APC Board member . Thank you and Happy New Year!

Middle School Minutes
The science of today is the technology of tomorrow
The middle school welcomes everyone back to Fronteras after vacation and knows that 2017 will be a great year starting out with The Saturday of Science. The Saturday of Science is back again at Fronteras for another year! The Saturday of Science is presented by Ms. Pierce with help from the middle school students to give kids in kindergarten through third grade a fun day filled with Science. There will be multiple stations where students will learn with hands-on project about that topic. We hope that the students who attend have a fun and exciting time.
