Principal's Corner

** Hope everyone is enjoying their first few weeks of summer so far. The Admin Team is spending the week at a Leadership Summit along with many others from FHSD.


**We have a few staff moves so far and hope to get their replacements completed very soon.


** Congrats to Stacy as begins his new adventure at AHS! We also want to congratulate Debbie Reardon, who has accepted a new position at Loveland Middle School. She will be a great addition for them! Thank you Stacy and Debbie for your many years of dedication to Nagel. We will certainly miss you!!


** Jimmy Byrnes will be replacing Robin as a new IS for us and we are working to hire a new LA teacher for Team 7-2. We have completed the first round of interviews and hope to complete the second this week.


** Please join me in sending a huge Nagel Nation welcome to our new member, Mark Oppenheimer. Mark will be stepping into the role of Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. Hope you will take a moment to read more about him below.

Mark's Minutes

Mark Oppenheimer has spent 16 years in public education as a very successful instrumental/band music educator at the secondary level. His students have not only been very successful in Ohio, but have gone on to pursue careers in music education or have continued to perform their instrument at the collegiate-level. Moreover, many of Mr. Oppenheimer’s former students have performed in numerous honor bands across the state and country, marched in the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” in New York City, “Tournament of Roses Parade” in Pasadena, California, and continue to march in numerous college marching bands across the country.

In addition to having a successful teaching career, Mark Oppenheimer has enjoyed a very successful athletic career as a coach, sports official, and high school baseball umpire assignor. Mr. Oppenheimer has officiated numerous OHSAA Sectional, District, Regional, and State Tournament baseball contests as well as several Sectional and District Tournament basketball contests. Additionally, Mark Oppenheimer continues to be an active NCAA Baseball Umpire at the D-I, D-II, and D-III levels, receiving several post-season assignments.

Mark and his wife Deanna have three girls, Alaina (14), Grace (9), and Claire (5). All girls remain very active in sports, music, dance and their church community. Deanna also remains very active as a church organist. The Oppenheimer family enjoys traveling, athletic events, music events, and serving their church community on a regular basis.
