As of 1/18/2022, LVMS will be following updated quarantine guidelines as outlined per Dr. Turnamian's 1/14/2022 Community Update. Please closely review Dr. Turnamian's updated isolation protocol chart as needed. Additional information can be found below!
Highlights from Last WeekFor those utilizing virtual learning due to COVID-19 or exposure to COVID-19, please continue to check Google Classroom and GoGuardian daily. It is expected that everyone continues to follow the regular LVMS Daily Schedule. As a reminder, all class specific questions should be directed to the specific classroom teacher first. As we continue to navigate the challenging climate of COVID-19, please continue to remind your students of proper mask wearing, handwashing hygiene, and social distancing. Additionally, if your student feels ill or is waiting results of a COVID test please DO NOT send them to school. Spring Sports Announcements:
Be on the look out for additional information on Spring Sports in the upcoming weeks. Forms are currently available on the LVMS Website, but specific timeline of due dates will be released in the near future.
Basketball Update:
Girls Basketball continues to have a successful season with two solid wins last week.
Boys Basketball will resume on Friday, January 21st!
Full Schedules:
AT THIS TIME, ONLY PARENT SPECTATORS FROM THE HOME TEAM WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND HOME BASKETBALL GAMES.
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, STUDENT SPECTATORS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is accepting applications for New Members. Applicants must be second semester 6th graders or in 7th or 8th grade. The application, applicant requirements, and all additional information can be found on the LVMS Website.
Applications are due by January 28, 2022.
No late applications accepted!
LVMS Weather Station
Did you know that LVMS has its own Davis VantageVue Weather Station? Purchased from a Grant from the LVMS PTA, the Weather Station is mounted to the LVMS roof and is updated approximately every 15 minutes with the weather conditions. Check our Weather Website for live weather forecasts daily or consider downloading the mobile app for accurate local weather conditions.

Health and Safety
COVID Activity Index Level (CALI) - As of 12/20/2021 the district received notification that our region’s CALI score transitioned to Very High (RED). As of 12/30/2021, the CDC has updated it's guidelines to reflect recommendations for "Very High" COVID-19 Levels. Please click here to view those guidelines.
Close Contact / Quarantine: Starting Tuesday, January 18th, both isolation and quarantine periods have been reduced to Five (5) full days. Day zero (0) is the first day of symptoms or if asymptomatic day zero is the day of the positive test. For close contacts, the date of exposure is considered day zero. UPDATED 1/14/22
