USD #416 Continuous Learning-Week 6
May 4-May 8
Dear Wildcat Family,
The week of May 4th is a special week in education! The week of May 4th is National Teacher Appreciation Week. May 5, 2020 is National Teacher Day! I believe, probably more than ever, students and families have discovered an even larger appreciation of our dedicated teachers. In fact, many of our parents and older siblings have had to become teachers during this unique 4th Quarter! We appreciate all of our teachers and their dedication to their calling of educating students. If you have time next week, I encourage you and your children to reach out to our teachers and let them know how much they are appreciated and missed. An email, a picture, a letter, etc. would go a long ways in letting our teachers know how much they mean to our community and the children they serve. My hope is, that next year, when this week and special day roll around, we are in the midst of a 'normal' end of the school year where we can physically celebrate our teachers and their dedication to our kids and our community!
Wildcat Ready,
Dr. Brian R. Biermann

What will that work look like? Like all high school classrooms, the work will vary greatly based on the layout of the classroom and the class that is being taken. Some examples will be daily assignments, weekly assignments, and even long term assignments. Remember, those assignments will still average out to approximately 20 minutes a day, even if the assignment may take 2 weeks. At the high school level, students have been managing this all along, and now is where these skills come into effect. This isn’t something to be feared. They got this.
