Electricity

Conductor
Materials that freely allow the flow of electricity. Ex. water, copper, iron
Semiconductor
Materials that do not allow electrons to flow freely but don't directly stop them either. Semiconductors have more resistance than conductors but less resistance than insulators. Ex. silicon, computer chip
Insulator
Materials than greatly impede or stop the flow of electrons with very high resistance. Ex. rubber, glass, dry air
Comparison
Conductors have the least resistance compared to semiconductors and insulators. Insulators have the most resistance between these three. Also semiconductors are half conductors and half insulators.
Daily Life
My pool in my backyard is a conductor.
The computer chip in my laptop is a semiconductor.
The glasses I drink out of at dinner are insulators.
