Field Trip!
Wow, what an amazing field trip! The kids did great and had a blast! They visited 3 different water safety stations in the pool and learned about things like what to do if you fell out of the boat or someone else that was with you fell out of the boat. I was so proud of the kids for their excellent behavior on the trip! Check out pictures below!
Superkids
We are continuing to work on our Personal Stories. The kids are doing great! Most are now in the revising and editing stages of the writing process. We are working on adding details to our writing. Ask your child about their story! We are also continuing our parts of speech study. Practice parts of speech with your child at home. For example, at the dinner table, "Is the fork a noun (person, place, or thing), verb (action word), or adjective (describes a noun)?"
Twitter!
The kids LOVE our daily Tweets so far! Each child is taking turns being "Tweeter of the Day". We have had great discussions about social media and internet safety. For example, we picked "@2ndsalamanders" as our handle instead of "Simac's Salamanders" because it had less identifying information. Thanks for following us!
Math - $$$
Please practice counting money with your child as much as possible! We are having fun working on counting money as well as figuring out what different coins can make different amounts. For example, what are different ways to make $1 out of coins?
