How to Deal With Type 2 Diabetes

Your New Helpful Guide.

Why Do You Have Diabetes?

You have Diabetes because your body is not producing enough Insulin. The Insulin is a hormone that the pancreas produces for your cells to be able to take in Glucose(sugar).

What is your life going to be like now?

Now with diabetes there is nothing to be afraid of and you are going to be fine. All you need to do is take care of your health a little bit better by eating less sugar, exercising, and watching your blood sugar levels.

Your Dietary Plan

Most of the time a person will have type 2 diabetes because they are overweight. So it is smart to go on a diet with low sugar and low fat to help with losing weight and to help with diabetes.

Overall you should eat foods with low sugar but here are some recommended quantities of food you should eat of each food type per day:

2.5-3 cups of Vegetables

1.5-2 cups of Fruit

3-4 ounces of Grains

5-6.5 ounces of Protein

3 cups of Dairy

No more than 7 teaspoons of Oils/Fats

Blood Monitoring

In order to manage your blood sugar levels you need to monitor them regularly about 2 times a day. You do not want your blood sugar levels getting high or else you will get Hyperglycemic(whenever you have too much sugar in your system) and you do not want that. If your levels are high then you will know to not consume as much sugary drinks or foods because you want the levels to go down to a normal range.

There are several different ways you could go about working out. But just as long as you get a total of 45-60 minutes of working out a day you should be fine. You can do several short periods of working out to add up to the total time or you can do the entire 60 minute workout.

People You Can Talk To About Your Diabetes

A Nutritionist is a very important person to talk to because if you are ever questioning your diet and the foods that are recommended you should talk to them and they can help you anyway they can over it.

A Psychiatrist is another good person to talk to if you are having emotional problems over diabetes. It is common for you to have emotional problems from diabetes because it changes your life and for some people its hard to adjust to it.
