We hope you can join us TONIGHT at Modern Market in the Arboretum for our March Spirit Night. Modern Market is generously donating 50% back to AIS for this one, so we hope you can all make it to eat and mingle with other AIS families. Make sure to mention AIS at the counter. We will see you there.
Austin Spurs AIS Night!-Sun. 3/8, 4:00 pm
On Sunday, March 8th, AIS has been invited to cheer on the Austin Spurs as they play the Oklahoma City Blues at the HEB Cedar Park Center. Plus, AIS students will have the opportunity to high five the players as they run out onto the court at halftime! We inquired about the high fives due to CoronaVirus. There is not an alternate experience available. The spurs will have hand sanitizer immediately available after the high fives. However, if you do not want to participate in this activity, we understand, and it is optional. If you DO want to participate, meet outside of section 109 at halftime for the kids to be ready when the players come out of the locker room. The game starts at 4:00 pm and doors open at 3:00 pm. Parking will be $8.00. We hope you can join us. Tickets are available here. Go Spurs! Let us know the student names participating here. (Hopefully, the link is working now =).

Go Owls BBall
We are so proud of our boys' and girls' basketball teams and want to extend a big thank you to Coach Cedric & Coach Natacha. It was a tough season. Our boys persevered and demonstrated tremendous resolve and growth! And the girls finished second in the league for the season! Go Owls!
Talent Show
We are also proud of our CE1-4è students who participated in this year's Talent Show! We saw a variety of talent-- from dancing, singing, playing piano and guitar to Taekwondo, martial arts, gymnastics, and comedy....we even saw some teacher talent again this year! It was great to see our students being such courageous risk-takers in front of their peers. And thank you to the Student Council who served as emcees. You all delivered a great program led by Ms. Virginie, Mr. Olivier, and Ms. Gina. Great job!
GS Pride
GS1 and GS2 just finished to write their stories in French : we read the book Quel radis dis-donc !, Praline Gay-Para, Andrée Prigent and after working on the book's narrative structure, each group invented his own story : we took pictures and then write the story in French. They made a video in french and they will tell their story to 3rd grade next week. (3rd graders are also going to read their story to us).
COVID-19 and Spring Break Travel
As explained in our March 4th Communiqué regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing to monitor the evolution of this matter. Please be advised as this situation continues to evolve, more countries may be added to the CDC’s list of countries with travel advisories. If you are planning on traveling during Spring Break, we advise that you closely monitor the list of countries affected by this outbreak. If, during Spring Break, you travel to a country that later listed as Level 2, 3, or 4, then we will require that you and any family members that share the same household not return to campus until 14 days have passed since your return to the US. AIS Families with plans to travel to France during the upcoming Spring Break may wish to reconsider their travel in light of the growing number of cases in France.
Coronavirus Concerns got you grounded?
Have your Spring Break travel plans changed? Worried about being cooped up with your kiddos for 2 weeks? Well, IF they are healthy, we still have spots in our Spring Break Camp for them to join us! Plus, your students can take a mini-vaca as our camp is set for a Tropical Paradise!
