Welcome Aboard
Penny Road has a new teacher! Her name is Stacy Shak and she will be support teachers to offset the K - 3 Class Size legislation law. Please read a brief bio from Ms. Shak and let's make her feel welcome here at Penny Road.
My name is Stacy Shak. I am so excited to be a Penny Road Panda! I am originally from New York City but have spent most of my life in Florida. I attended the University of Florida and majored in Psychology and Criminology. After graduation, I was offered a job with the State of Florida and taught gymnastics part-time. Being around children and watching the joy they experienced when they learned something new inspired a career change. I became certified to teach Elementary Education, Pre- Kindergarten, ESL, and Special Education. I have been teaching and working with children for the past 12 years and love it! It is so exciting to watch children learn something new and develop a love for learning. I have spent most of my educational career teaching Kindergarten. My favorite thing to do is to travel and I have visited 45 countries on 6 continents I also love the color pink and anything Disney. I am so excited to be here and join your family!
