Congratulations to Chandler Baseball and Coach Lopez and his staff for an outstanding season! The Wolves made it to the State finals before losing in a tough final game. Congratulations to Tate Scott (pictured), the Premier Region’s Offensive Player of the Year, and Coach David Lopez, Conference Coach of the Year! Brody Sexton was also named All-Conference 1st Team. A number of players were also named to the All-CUSD Team. Well done, Wolves!

GRADUATION THIS THURSDAY
We are looking forward to the graduation ceremony thisThursday, May 26th, 2022, at 8:00p.m. on Austin Field. Due to capacity restrictions at Austin Field and with safety at the forefront of all our planning, we will need to limit the number of family members for each graduating senior to seven guests this year.

CGCC EARLY COLLEGE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS
Congratulations to our CHS Senior completers of the Chandler Gilbert Community College (CGCC) early college partnership programs.
Marisa Shirley (pictured), CHS Senior, received her Associates of Arts degree from CGCC. Marisa participated in the Hoop of Learning Program and completed Dual Enrollment classes to accomplish this goal. She is transferring 60 credits to ASU where she will study Biochemistry in her BS & MS 4+1 Program.
Seniors Kym Stevens, Tiyana Kaulaity, and Yilhazbaa R. Spencer are also completers of the Hoop of Learning program at CGCC.
The following CHS Seniors completed the ACE program at CGCC: Michael Barcena, Donna Bazaury, Amy Cardenas, Simone King, Nellie Diaz, Jessamie Lopez, Gabriele Macias, and Avery Walton.
SENIOR SUNSET
Thursday’s Senior Sunset was a special “last” for the Class of 2022. Seniors enjoyed live music, played games, ate, and watched the sun set on their senior year. Congratulations and good luck to the Chandler High School Class of 2022!

Congratulations to CHS Choirs for a fantastic Pops Concert last week! The choirs performed a number of pieces to a packed CCA house. What a great way to end the school year!
YEARBOOKS ARE HERE!
Congratulations to the El Lobo staff and their teacher, Mr. Brian Mosqueda, for a terrific 2022 yearbook! Books may be picked up in the JSU before and after school only. Students must show ID or pull up Infinite Campus for identification when picking up the yearbook. Students can still purchase a book for $80 in the bookstore.

CHANDLER CARE CLOSET
Chandler High, Sun Lakes Rotary, and Classy Closets teamed up this year to open the Chandler Care Closet for students and families to visit and receive resources. Wolves and their families will be able to obtain clothing items, shoes, hygiene, food, school supplies, cleaning items, etc. If you would like to donate shoes (dress and sneakers), shoe racks, travel Kleenex, cleaning products, laundry detergent, new pillows, packages of socks and underwear, etc., please drop items off in the front office care of Sarah Hunter. Thank you for your support!

SUMMER SCHOOL UPDATE
Students who spoke to their counselors to request a summer school course MUST check their gse email and/or their parents’ email. The email will give students steps to enroll in requested summer school classes. Space is limited, and counselors cannot enroll students. Students must enroll ASAP to secure a summer school spot.

GETTING A JUMP START ON DUAL ENROLLMENT
It’s time to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, and for many students, that may mean Dual Enrollment through Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
· Get an early start on your college education
· Students earn high school and college credits at the same time
· The credits are part of the 22 credits that are required to meet high school graduation requirements
· The courses are taught on the high school campus by college-approved high school teachers
· Only identified period/hours are DE eligible to receive college credit
· Tuition is $85.00 per credit. Maricopa Grant (Tuition Assistance) available
