March 17, 2020

Dear Families,

Tomorrow we plan to hear from the CA Dept. of Education with updates and information on how best to support our students with the suspension of in-class instruction. There are still many unknowns, and we ask for your patience and flexibility while we navigate the changing landscape.

What you can expect:

Throughout the shelter in place, grab and go food services as mentioned previously will continue. Please outreach us at if you are unable to source a site.

Teachers have been carefully crafting and are ready to share home learning resources, with each classroom providing activity ideas to students. This effort is not designed to replace instruction, but to support skill practice and growth. Later today, you can expect messaging from your classroom teachers sharing their specific plans.

Although we are not onsite, we are staying in constant connection to email, so please feel free to outreach me if you are unable to access materials and resources or need additional support during this time.

For students with Special Education related needs, Jessica Stryczek will be outreaching families directly within the next two days with further information. You are also welcome to contact her directly at

We appreciate you taking seriously the shelter in place recommendations and hope you and your family are well and staying healthy.

Please stay connected for future updates.

In partnership,

Jen Heeter

Head of School
