MCAS Information
I acknowledge that a test shows where a child is on a particular day. I also realize that the MCAS test does not measure some very important skills and knowledge that are important to individuals and society (the Arts, Social Emotional Learning, ETC). However, I also know that this is a test that is looked at by many and used to help us plan our educational program. So, it is important that the adults make it important. We can do that in a way that lifts students by reminding them how much they have learned and telling them this is their time to show that learning off. Let's show the state, the town and the school community just how much we know!
You will find the testing schedule below. Please help us by being a cheerleader and supporter. Cheer them to do their best and support them by making sure they get a good night sleep, a healthy breakfast, and come to school on time. All members of our community have been working hard and I know that the test results will show this effort and inform us as we continue on the path to success.
Thanks,
Steven Olsen, Principal

More information on dress code, exact rehearsal times, masking protocol, etc. will be forthcoming but I wanted to get you these dates as soon as possible. Please put them in your calendars and make sure to alert any spring sports coaches of potential conflicts. They have always been very flexible with this in the past and will often change the time of games or practices to accommodate the concerts.
The kids have been working so hard to prepare these pieces for you and I'm so excited and grateful that they will finally have the chance to show off for you.
Thank you so much for your continued support. The kids are doing AMAZING. You are going to LOVE it.
