Parent Teacher Interviews

As parents were made aware last week, teachers will be available for Parent Interviews on Wednesday 5 April. Our Year 1-6 teachers will be available from 11.45am in 15 minute time slots. Our Kindy and PP teachers will have 20 minute slots available for parents. Our Bookings page is now live. Teachers have sent out a link through SeeSaw for you to access.

Parents will need to select the date (5 April), the teacher and the timeslot to make the booking. Once the booking is made, a confirmation email which provides a TEAMS video link will be sent. If you would like to arrange a TEAMS meeting instead of a face-face, you will need that link to make the call on the day. To assist class teachers in preparing to take TEAMS calls, please let them know beforehand that your appointment will be a TEAMS call. Otherwise, the confirmation email will be your face-face interview.

When making your booking PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SURNAME so the teacher can identify which student the meeting is for.

Please note that you will not need to sign in at the office when attending the interview with the teacher. The following venues will be used by teachers for the meetings:

Kindy – Year 2

8.00am – 3.20pm: In the Library

From 3.30pm In the classroom

Year 3 - Year 6

8.00am – 3.20pm: In the Hall

From 3.30pm In the classroom

Easter Raffle and Hat Parade

On Wednesday 5th April the P&F have organised an Easter Hat Parade.

We are asking the students in each class from Kindy to Year 6 come up with a creative Easter Hat design to wear to the parade. There will be prizes on offer so you better start getting creative to impress the judges.

Students are also able to wear free dress on this day for a gold coin donation. The parade will take place at 9am in the Undercover Area. Parents/Carers are most welcome to attend.

Also on this day we will be drawing the winners of the Easter Raffle. Tickets have been sent home with each child and the Year 6's will be selling extra tickets at lunch time. The tickets are 50c each.

It promises to be a fun morning and I'm looking forward to seeing the creative designs the students come up with.

Please see the flyer in the P&F section of the newsletter for more information.

Stations of the Cross

This year we will be holding our Stations of the Cross prayer reflection on Thursday 6th April at 9am. Each class will be involved in preparing two stations and it will be held outside in the school grounds.

The Stations of the Cross is a powerful way to contemplate, and enter into, the mystery of Jesus' gift of himself to us. Parents/Carers are welcome to join us for this reflection.

Cricket Carnival

The Interschool Cricket Carnival for our Year 6 students is taking place tomorrow at Karoonda Reserve in Booragoon. These are great days which the students really look forward to. I wish them the bast of luck, I’m sure they will be fantastic ambassadors for our school.

Footy Tipping

What an exciting first round, starting with a draw between Richmond and Carlton, giving everyone 1 point. Unfortunately, our West Australian teams didn't fare too well, but let's hope they bounce back this week.

Congratulations to Marg Pearce for winning the first round of the Queenies P&F Footy Tipping Competition. Please see Reception/Front Office to collect your Rustico Voucher and certificate.

Busy Bee

A BIG thank you to the team of volunteers, including Tracy Italiano, Brody Birch, Anthony Jayamaha, Ryan Italiano, and Rebecca Day for helping at the P&F Busy Bee last Friday. Your help was much appreciated, and the P&F room is now a lot cleaner and ready for all our fundraising activities this year.
