Letter from the Principal

Dear Wildcat Families,

The beginning of June signals the end of the school year. It is hard to believe that we are less than a month away from the last day of school. Thank you for a wonderful and productive school year. I cannot express my gratitude enough for all of your support, conversation, visits, donating, participating, collaborating, and doing whatever was necessary to support students both at home and at school. Special thanks to our PTA who went above and beyond to provide opportunities and experiences for our staff and students. At the heart of this year's success is our staff's endless dedication, passion, care, and skill to lead us towards our mission of ensuring that all students grow and learn at high levels academically, socially, and emotionally.

Last and most important, thank you Wildcat students for all of your hard work throughout the year. Together we have overcome much and we have a lot to be proud of. I am so honored to be your principal, and I am proud to be a Wildcat along side each of you. I am grateful for your joy, talent, insight, and heart. Best wishes to our 8th graders as they transition to high school; I will miss you greatly. Thank you to the entire MMS community. You have made my first year here incredible; I am humbled to be a part of such an extraordinary community.

I wish you all a summer full of love, laughter, and learning. I will see you next school year!

Student Chromebooks

All students returning to the Marysville school district will be keeping their chromebooks over the summer and will already have them for next year at the Middle or High School they will be attending. If they are relocating out of district we will be collecting those students' chromebooks at the end of the school year. The district will be sending more notes about this closer to the last day of school and will also give instructions on what/where students can get help with their chromebook over the summer if they need it.

Attendance Line for Absences

We are required by law to track attendance for each student AND to inform families if a student misses class. Additionally, if students are not feeling well, please keep them home and call the attendance office, 360-965-0901, so that the absence can be excused.

If your student has an appointment during the school day, it will be much easier on you and the student if you let us know as soon as possible. Your student will be given a pass to leave class at the designated time. This can be especially helpful if you need to get your student during lunch time.

Skyward Family Access

Skyward has all kinds of useful information for students and their families. You can see specific grades on assignments, what might be missing, you can contact the teacher directly, and even change your information. Parents and students have different log-ins, however, sitting down together to check in regularly is a great way to keep on top of assignments, celebrate successes and problem solve if your student is having difficulty in a class. If you need to have your Skyward password reset you should be able to click the "forgot password" link. Or, call the office and we will send you a link to reset it.

Operation School Bell

Operation School Bell is a program to assist students who need clothing. It is run by the Assistance League of Everett and since 1965 they have been providing school clothes to over 99,139 children and teens, one child at a time. If you have a student in need of clothing please fill out the application below.

Food for Thought Backpack Program...Striving to End Childhood Hunger!

Marysville Community Food Bank offers a program to all families to provide food for the weekends and/or holidays when your child/children are not in school. Please see the application below and if you have any questions or need any help please contact the main office or your student's counselor.
