Wheelchair Safety Lessons
Mrs. Frasier's Patient Care students have been learning wheelchair safety.
Join the Lil' Trojans Club!
Calling all Pre-K through 6th graders! Join the Lil' Trojans Club, and you can enter all regular season home games for ALL sports through the pass gate! For only a $30 membership fee, ($15 for siblings) you will receive a Lil' Trojans T-shirt to wear to the games and free admission.

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
The 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards are for students who have volunteer experience. Awards include $1,000 and a trip to Washington. Apply at spirit.prudential.com.
HGHS Homecoming
Homecoming Dance
The HGHS Homecoming Dance "Night of a Thousand Lights" will be Saturday, September 7, from 7-10 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets will be sold at lunch on Fridays, starting this Friday. Tickets are $15 for individuals and $25 for couples. Students must have a presale ticket to get into the dance, and there will be no passes out during the dance. There will be snacks and bottled water for sale. Lifetouch will be on site to take pictures.
***Students will be allowed to bring a guest to the dance this year as long as the Homecoming Guest Permission Form is completed, signed, and returned to Mrs. Helton in the Attendance Office no later than September 4th.

Flu Vaccine Clinic: There will be a Flu Clinic for HGHS students on Thursday, September 5th. Students will need to have the Flu Consent Form completed to participate.
Class Fees: Class fees are due by Friday, September 6th. The Madison County Student Course Catalog 2019-20 located on the MCBOE and Hazel Green High websites, list classes that require fees. These fees are set by the Madison County Board of Education. Please look at the list of classes above that require class fees. Please check your student's schedule for these classes. Class fees are due by September 6th and can be paid online at MySchoolFees (no student ID number required) or by cash or check at HGHS.
Senior Portraits: The deadline to take your senior portrait for the yearbook is October 17th.

Balfour: Balfour representatives will be in the cafeteria at 8 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month and the first Thursday of each month.
FCCLA: The first FCCLA interest meeting will be on Tuesday, August 27, at either 8 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Bowling's classroom. Please attend only one of the meetings. Everyone is welcome!
Senior Parent Meeting: There will be a senior parent meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesday, September 3, from 5-7 p.m.

Online Application for Free/Reduced Meals: Online free and reduced meal applications are available at the link below for a faster, more confidential way to apply. A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals. Your child's eligibility status carries over to the new school year for the first 30 school days, allowing parents time to re-apply. Only one application per household should be submitted, and everyone living in the house must be included on the application.
