School Committee Meeting
Tuesday, Mar 6, 2018, 07:00 PM
Scituate High School, Trimtown Road, North Scituate, RI, USA
Scituate Music Association
Scituate Music Association, SMA, has two new board members for the school year 2018/2019; they are: LisaMarie Del Santo, treasurer, and Andra Masse, recording secretary. They invite you to come on board with them! Open positions remaining are: president, vice president, and corresponding secretary.
SMA's current board members, Lori DiMatteo and Lisa Pietryski are retiring this year. To continue the high level of support to the music department and students, all positions must be filled as soon as possible. This is a fun and exciting time to be involved with new people and new ideas!
Please join us at the next SMA meeting on Tuesday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the High School music room to learn how you can help. Contact either Lori DiMatteo, lhdimatteo@yahoo.com or Stephanie Vantine, stefanie.vantine@scituateschoolsri.net, 647-4120 if you are interested in any of the board positions or volunteering in some capacity if you are unable to attend. Thank you.

Welcome to the Inaugural Scituate Booster Club
“Mattress Fundraiser”
**VERY IMPORTANT meeting for all Sports Parents**
Tuesday, March 6th @ 7:00 PM…Scituate High School Cafeteria
As we begin to transition from the Winter sports season to the Spring, I’m sure you join the Booster Club in our overwhelming pride for our Spartan athletes and teams! So far, we’ve had numerous teams make the playoffs including two state finalists…Not too shabby for our beautiful little town!! Guess what…We’re Not Done Yet!!
One of the main goals for the Booster Club is to raise funds for our athletes and teams, and to address general athletic needs, not covered in budgets. Our major fundraiser at the Scituate Art Festival has been cursed by Mother Nature for the last 2 years, and we needed to find an alternate way to raise funds. We’ve all bought the candy, candles and calendars over the years…and hated it, so we have joined forces with Custom Fundraising Solutions and we will hosting our first Mattress Fundraiser on Saturday, March 24 in the High School Gym from 10am – 5pm.
You may have seen or heard about this fundraiser from being held at other local schools. Yes, many schools in the state have held this event, and it has been very successful; Ponaganset, Johnston, Burrillville, North Smithfield, West Warwick and Tiverton to name few. Why? It’s simple!! Very little effort is required by you and your athlete, but the return is phenomenal!!
I’m sure you have many questions…All of these and many more will be answered at the Parent Meeting which will be held Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00pm, in the High School Cafeteria. This meeting will only take about 20 minutes of your time. The best part is that you don’t need to buy anything!!
If you have a student who is playing sports this year, you need to be at this meeting!!
In fact, this meeting is so important that each player who is represented at this meeting by a parent or guardian will earn $10 towards their team’s fundraising account with the Booster Club, and any team who has 10 athletes or more represented will earn a $50 bonus for their account!!
Best Regards, and Let’s GO Spartans!!
