In Reading, students read a Biography of Dr. Seuss. Students were able to identify non-fiction text features and how they are different from fiction stories. Students enjoyed learning about the life of Dr. Seuss. Students also learned about antonyms and reviewed synonyms.

In writing, students continued to write complete sentences and continued writing letters. We wrote letters to Santa or someone of our choice. We will be finishing up with letter writing next week.

In Math, students learned how to measure using non-standard units of measure and then to the nearest inch. Students learned about a 12 inch and 6 inch ruler and how they are used. We continue to review facts to 10 and problem solving.

In Science, students learned the characteristics of the sun and were able to learn why we have day and night. Students watched a few videos outlining the necessity for the sun and how the sun affects our day and night.
