Ms. C.'s First Grade Classroom
December 14 - December 18
This week:
In writing, students continued to write complete sentences and continued writing letters. We wrote letters to Santa or someone of our choice. We will be finishing up with letter writing next week.
In Math, students learned how to measure using non-standard units of measure and then to the nearest inch. Students learned about a 12 inch and 6 inch ruler and how they are used. We continue to review facts to 10 and problem solving.
In Science, students learned the characteristics of the sun and were able to learn why we have day and night. Students watched a few videos outlining the necessity for the sun and how the sun affects our day and night.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Christmas Show, They all did an amazing job!!!

Tuesday, December 22 - Polar Express Day - Students may wear pajamas to school and
bring in slippers and teddy bear (one that may fit in their
backpack).
Wednesday, December 23 - 2:05 dismissal ~ Holiday Party in our classroom!
