Idea Bandits and Visiting other Classes
On my daily walks to classrooms it is always very evident that you are doing some great things in the classrooms. The passion and enthusiasm that you teach with in the classroom is addicting and most of the time I enjoy sitting there learning along with the students.
Yes you have to do 3 idea bandits per 9 weeks but don't limit yourself to just those for classroom visits. I know many of you try to get as many "steps" as you can during the day. Your prep is obviously a great way to walk around the building and stop into classrooms. You won't be disappointed with the level of education taking place in our building!
Collaboration
On Monday we will be in the library to begin our discussion on ISTEP.
Hoops for Hearts Game
Friday will be our annual staff vs student Hoops for Hearts Basketball Game. We will call kids down during No Excuses to the gym.
Hallway Supervision
Continue to be visible in the hallways during passing periods. Encourage students to get to class and correct any misbehavior you may witness. More importantly be there to talk with students and form relationships.
If you're out, turn it out
Keep that saying in mind with your energy consumption. If you are out of your room, turn the lights off. Before you leave each evening take a look around and turn off power strips, TVs, monitors, etc...
