Principal's Point
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed the extended time off from school. Midterms will go home tomorrow, November 30th for students in grades 4-8. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any concerns.
In December, we only have 13 instructional days before our Winter Break. During this time, we encourage all students to do their best on their MAP tests and to remain focused while learning.
Congratulations to Beth Dusing on her Excellence is Everywhere award. Ms. Dusing was honored at the annual Kenton County School District Excellence is Everywhere banquet held November 1st and presented by the Team Kenton Foundation. I can't think of a more derserving teacher!

Student Council Canned Food Drive
Student Council is partnering with the Independence Police Department and Independence FOP #75 to collect canned goods beginning November 19th through December 14, 2018. This is a wonderful way to give back to our community and to families living in Independence. Students donating canned or boxed foods (no glass) can place items in the collection bins located at the community entrance. The grade level with the most donated goods collected will win a donut party with the runner-up receiving a donut hole party! Student Council members thank you for your support!
