This is proved in the book when Mila goes back home to her dolphin family. She also goes back to the sea.
Figurative Language
"The orca is quick like a strict of lighting" this is figurative language because this is a simile because it uses like and it describes what the orca is doing.
"The sea is living music, it is the whisper of fish, the roar of the wind, chatter of the stones and sand,it is all music" This is a form of figurative language because the sea is not really music and this is a metaphor.
"The round moon leans across the sea stretching its arms and scooping water" This is figurative language because the moon can't really scoop water this is a form of personification.
