Different Forms Of Volcanoes
There are 3 different types of volcanoes
- composite or strato
- shield
- Dome
Composite or Strato
Composite volcanoes are very steep. They are made form layers of ash and flows of lava. This form of volcano can erupt out hot gas and rock instead of lava (which is called a pyroclastic flow). This pyroclastic flow can move at very high speeds down the volcano with over 400 degrees celsius as a temperature.

Shield Volcanoes are low with sloping sides. Shield volcanoes do not explode but they do release of a liquid called Lava.
Dome volcanoes
This type of volcano erupts out acid. Dome volcanoes have much steeper sides. Because of that the lava acid cannot spew out that far before it cools.
