PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear SFX Family,
Thank you so much to the Men's Club for such a fun and tasty Crawfish Fest this past Friday. The weather, food, music, and company were great! Thank you also to all of the parents who have signed up to help with morning carpool so far. We appreciate you!
This week is a short one, but it is very busy. Tomorrow we look forward to our School Mass and Washing of the Feet at 9:00 AM and 7th Grade Passion Play. Thank you to Mr. Adoue and all the Middle School teachers for working with the students on this special project.
School will be closed for Easter this Thursday through Tuesday and resume on Wednesday, April 20.
Field Days are just around the corner on April 22 and April 29. There are more details below with more following soon!
Lastly, please remember that all 2022-23 Tuition & Fees are due on May 1, 2022 or a FB&T loan must be initiated. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cindy Bird at cbird@stfrancisxavier.com or 834-0340.

Today is the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral and there are 5 meetings/events on campus tonight.
Several important activities are scheduled for tomorrow too, and the great Three Days of our Faith, known as the Sacred "Triduum," begins on Thursday. See all the details in the Email Update.

SPRING BOOK FAIR
We're so excited for our next Book Fair! The Book Fair will be open to the students April 25-29. Students will be able to shop and/or make wish lists to bring home during their regularly scheduled library class. Parent Shopping will be Thursday, April 28, from 3:30 until 7:00, so that you can come shop directly after picking up your child or come shop after work. Additionally, there are still time slots available if you would like to volunteer at the Book Fair. All volunteers must be up-to-date with Safe Environment and background checks. CHAMPIONS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION
Champions of Catholic Education is a program in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for tuition assistance. First Bank and Trust is partnering with the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation to process online financial aid applications for parents applying for tuition assistance through the Champions of Catholic Education. The program is open to families with school-aged children attending Catholic schools, in grades Kindergarten through 12th, within the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The application window will be open from April 9-30.
Once the review of your application has been completed, your information will be forwarded to the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation for a final determination on tuition assistance and you will be notified. You will not receive tuition assistance results from First Bank and Trust.

SUMMER TUTORIAL WITH MISS LEBEUF
Miss Lebeuf will once again be offering summer tutorial/enrichment for students entering 4th-7th Grades.
Registration begins Monday, April 4. The session is limited to 20 students. Please see the flyer and registration form below for more information.

WE NEED COACHES! No experience necessary. Coaches will meet briefly prior to the season opener to pick up rules, rosters and “Coach” shirts. Our wonderful coaches will also receive free water and freeze pops throughout the season!
Team sponsors are needed. Sponsorships are $150, and include your logo on the back of all team and coach shirts. Please send sponsorship money with your child’s registration form. GOLD SPONSORSHIPS are $300, and include your logo on a banner which will be hung near the concessions throughout the season, and on the back of all team and coach shirts.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL REMINDERS
Please continue to follow all rules of drop-off and dismissal:
- No left turn out of the Trimber Yard
- Right turn only into the Trimber Yard
- Pull all the way to the right side of the street and put your blinker on
- Left turn only onto Avenue A from Betz Place
- Do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to dismissal time
- Hang your name sign from your rear view mirror for the entirety of carpool so that all staff can see the name. Hint: A pants hanger works great!
- Please do not block neighbors and business's driveways.
GENERAL REMINDERS
- If anyone in your immediate family tests positive, please notify Ms. Dwyer immediately. You can call the school, 833-1471, or email if after hours.
- Students should be kept home if they have any symptoms and their doctor should be consulted. Please do not assume it is allergies or a cold or send them to school after giving medication.
- Early check-outs are not allowed past 2:30 PM on a regular day or 1:00 PM on an early dismissal day. Please only use early check-outs when absolutely necessary.
