Notes from the Principal's Desk
I am pleased to share some exciting news regarding our Arizona's A-F Letter Grade. Maldonado has recently shown improvement, moving from a 'C' to a 'B.' This accomplishment is a testament to our collective dedication and hard work, as well as the support provided at home. It is important to recognize the progress that has been made and to continue encouraging your child in their academic journey. Student achievement is a clear indicator of their potential for continued growth and success. It's important we maintain this positive trajectory, and I encourage you to engage in open discussions with your child about their goals and aspirations. Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to witnessing your child's further achievements.
The single most important thing parents can do to ensure students are making adequate academic progress is to ensure their student is at school every day on time for the entire instructional day. Chronic absenteeism continues to one of the largest roadblocks to student learning. It is incredibly important that students are at school ready to learn at 7:45 and remain until dismissal at 1:55 (12:55 on Wednesdays). Missing minutes quickly turn into hours which turn into days which can not be replaced. As always if your child has a fever, is throwing up, or has diarrhea they must remain at home until they are symptom free for 24 hours without medication. Please ensure you report all absences to Stephenie, our attendance clerk so we can excuse the absence. She can be reached at 520-908-4100.
Warm regards,
Principal Ramirez
