Urban Clusters and City Models
Sociologists, economists, and geographers have developed three models to help explain where different types of people tend to live in an urban area-the concentric zone, sector, and multiple nuclei models.

Limited space
For many urban people they have limited living space.
Slow transportation
In cities with many people transportation is limited.
Structure
Structures span over the ground to fit more people around urban areas.
Concentric Zones
The population expands around the whole city always making the urban area expand.
Sector
A cities sector always expands with the population.
