PE & Health Weekly Update
Week of 4/13-4/17
Each week, students are encouraged to complete at least 5 sections of the wellness board and log a reflection of their choices in GoogleClassroom. Please encourage and participate with your student in an active healthy lifestyle during this time away from Hixson!
This week's 7th and 8th grade Physical Education and Health goals include learning the following options;
WGSD Health Standard 3. Accessing Information - How Does My Body Fight Disease?
WGSD PE Goal 3. Sports Skills - Catching skills, infield drills, at home volleyball drills, frisbee throws.
WGSD PE Goal 4. Fundamental Movement - skateboard or bike, baton twirling, paper airplanes.
WGSD PE Goal 5. Fitness and Wellness - Health Moves Minds body calendar, body scan meditation, fitness partner games, Bingo, virtual national parks tour.
WGSD Health Standard 5. Decision Making - Decision Making skill steps.
WGSD Health Standard 6. Goal Setting - Clean and organize your space.
WGSD Health Standard 7. Self Management - Food Safety Activity, 5 quick healthy weekday breakfasts, smart snacking tips.
