Hello Lake City Family!
We didn't send a newsletter home last week, so we're recognizing our School Counselor, Ms. Lisa Whigham now! THANK YOU Ms. Whigham for ALL that you do for our school!

Students are able to exchange candy on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. We will not have parties. If you will be sending treats for students to enjoy, PLEASE SEND ONLY INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CANDY.

MAGNET SCHOOL INFORMATION & REGISTRATION
Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Department of School Choice is now accepting 2023-2024 Magnet School Applications! Accepted through March 1, 2023, all individuals interested in applying for admission into a CCPS Magnet Program must submit an application to https://applyclayton.schoolmint.com/.
In addition, individuals needing assistance with completing the application can attend an Application Assistance Day to receive one-on-one support. Magnet Application Assistance Days will be held on Tuesday, February 7, Tuesday, February 14, Tuesday, February 21, and Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Please see the following flyer for more information.

EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN'S WEEK
Our District will celebrate Exceptional Children’s Week (March 6 - March 10, 2023) at our DES' 2023 Spring Parent Expo on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Drew High School (6237 Gardenwalk Blvd in Riverdale, Georgia, 30274).
The Parent Expo will feature vendors, community information, and student performances. This year's theme for Exceptional Children's Week is "Power In Our Differences" where we will demonstrate how disabilities are truly special Abilities in our students.
