CHS9 Staff Bulletin 1-17-2020
"Everyone. Everyday. Whatever it takes."
Gorka's Gab
Thank you all for your constant focus on our duty and responsibility as educators! Thank you for your ability to adjust and adapt when needed. That is a key characteristic of a great teammate and team!
I have attached the links to our PD survey and Choice Board below. I would like everyone to complete the survey to share their PD interests. Your spring semester PD selection is due to your appraiser by January 21st.
Your health matters most so please take advantage of the CISD Health Fair! Last year was my first year to go and now my wife and I will always schedule the ultra sound screening and more!
I hope you all have a restful three day weekend!

Holtkamp Happenings
All staff should be on campus at 7:00AM or before. Be on duty at 6:50AM or before. Teachers should be taking attendance everyday in every class; absences and tardies. If we have teachers not counting tardies then our tardy referral system will not work. Remember we do things that are best for the whole school. TEAM first! And always be a positive voice in the hallway.
Thanks for all you do. Teachers are key to school success!!!

It's a new semester and a fresh start for students and their grades!!
We are now 8 days into the new grading period. Students should have grades in the gradebook.
The end of the first 3-weeks is quickly approaching. By January 27th you should have at least 1 major and 3 daily grades.
Price's Presence
The ARTS Committee would like to invite you and your spouse to our CHS9 Board Game Night!
If you have any board games at home that we may borrow, please drop them off with Ms. Becerra before January 20th. We will be sure to return your games after the event.
We are also accepting water, popcorn, candy, and other donations for the event.

SPED/504/ESL/RtI
A HUGE shout out to the World Geography team for EVERY teacher having their accommodations tracking sheets completed and turned in on time!! Also to Ms. Placide for her tracking sheets being so thorough and detailed!!
RtI: RtI Intervention teachers are excited and preparing to receive visitors from Woodlands High School and Peet Jr. High next week. These campus faculty and staff are interested in observing some of our intervention classes and discuss how Conroe HS9 delivers Student Support Services to students in RtI.
The Student Support RtI Team met in December and made decisions on spring placement for students currently receiving services and those that will be new to the program. Our next decision point meeting will be following the March report card (TBD).
Intervention class rosters should be going out to team leads next week and they will distribute to teachers on their teams so everyone will know which students are in an intervention class and who teaches that class.
Thanks to Ms. Davies who volunteered to become a substitute committee member while Ms. Newman is out with her new baby.
Looking forward to a great spring semester.
