A Message from the Principal
Hello, Raider Family,
Welcome to the October edition of the Raider Lead school newsletter! We are excited to share our learning and leadership with you and prepare you for our big rocks this month.
We will be studying Habit 3: Put First Things First. This is the habit of managing your life--your purpose, values, roles and priorities. You can learn more about Habit 3 below by exploring our Home Habit Huddle activity with your family.

Attendance Matters!
Monthly Average for Absences in September
Our yearly average for absences was 9% for 2021-2022. We need to significantly reduce this percentage for the 2022-2023 school year. Research shows that students who are chronically absent from school perform much lower academically than their peers. Student attendance is critically important to student academic achievement. Please make every effort to ensure that your student(s) are at school on time each day ready to learn!
In September, our average for absences was 7%. That's an improvement, but we can do better! Let's keep moving this number down in October!
