Future Techs of America Challenge
Our FTA challenge is a signature project that invites club members to use the engineering design process to solve real-world problems, invent new technologies and redesign current technologies. This empowers them to be more creative and innovative. Students taking the challenge spend weeks collaborating and becoming deeply engaged in the challenge while documenting their progress and designs. The program culminates an inspiring newsletter that showcases their projects in front of our campus tech coaches and our school.

In his own words...
I am a fifth grader in the class Tech Club at General Ricardo Sanchez Elementary. This is the first year that my school has a tech club. We have learned a lot from Miss Judy and AJ. They taught us many different things and technology and computers. Our end of the year project was of us to creating something with the information we had learned throughout the year in our tech club. At first I didn’t want to do it because I thought it was gonna be hard. But after doing some research and watching a few on YouTube videos. I realized It wasn't as hard as I thought.
As I decided what my project would be I noticed I had all the supplies at home. I decided to go with a science technology project a doorbell. The reason I chose to make the doorbell was because I have always wanted one outside my room. This would help prevent my family and relatives just walking into my room. They could just ring the doorbell before walking into my room. I gathered all my supplies and got my mom to help videotape everything.
