2015 is ahead of us and with it comes the promise of great growth and change. As part of our growth, we’re excited to launch our monthly Learning & Development Newsletter, which has been designed to keep you informed about what's going on around Learning & Development, and offer hints and tips on how to continue your professional development at Capco. We want this newsletter to be of value to you so please share your feedback and suggestions to help us improve.
Monthly review - December 2014
It was great to meet all of you in Bratislava on our Training day on December 5. We delivered 11 trainings for more than 100 people in one day which is absolutely amazing! I would like to thank everyone who took part and of course I would like to thank all the trainers for delivering their sessions. We have received feedback on the Training day from many of you so we will take it into account when organizing upcoming Training day in March 2015. Below you can see a few pictures from the Christmas party that followed the training day.
Group of 9 highly motivated consultants and developers took part in Consulting 101 right before Christmas holiday. Facilitated by Thomas Meyer and Francisco Gomez Alvarez from the Frankfurt office it was a demanding 3 days, but the teams really worked well together and rose to the occasion. We plan to have another Consulting 101 soon so watch this space for announcement of the next date.
What's coming up?
Round Tables – it’s that time of the year again. As part of round tables we will be discussing results of your self-assessment. Based on these we will identify training plan for 2015.
Training Policy - to ensure that we are fair, transparent and efficient in the way we develop our most important asset (you!) we will create a new training policy which should be available end of January.

I’m on project in Frankfurt and there is an interesting training session coming up. How do I sign up for it?
All the sessions you can sign up for are in Learning Hub. Any training to be attended outside Bratislava needs approval from Bratislava Training Coordinator (Mirka) and Project Manager. Project Manager has to confirm availability for the training (absence on the project) and has to approve the expenses for this day. Find the event in our L&D diary, see the description and click the enrollment link.
I was asked to create a presentation on OTC derivatives for my team. Do we have any materials on the topic? Where can I find them?
There is lot of materials that your colleagues have previously created. We try to store them and create a database. To get access to them try reaching out to firstname.lastname@example.org and you may just avoid reinventing the wheel :)
I saw on CiT that there was a brown bag for Harrods #BuildYourOwnBank. Can I have the materials please?
Sure you can. There is a brown bag page in our CiT group that is regularly updated with materials for different brown bags. Can’t find the materials there? Email email@example.com so that we can get them from the trainers and share with everyone.
