CUB SCOUT Pack 1926
FUN ACTIVIES, ADVENTURES, GAMES, SKILLS
Sign Up night
St Timothy Lutheran Church has adopted Hancock Elementary and supports a Cub Scout Pack for Boys and Girls grades K-6. The Pack is family-inclusive and accepts applicants from both Public and Private Schools. They offer a Covid safe program that gets youth active and interacting with others their age.
They are having an info/signup night Tuesday Sept 21 @ 6:30 pm at St Timothy 14225 Hargrave Rd.
Does your child still need a Chromebook?
- If you already have a SchoolCash account, the form will appear as an item in your cart. They will click the link to sign the form and it will process through.
- If you do not have a SchoolCash account, you will need to create an account, add your student(s), and then click to sign the agreement form.
Below are directions for creating a SchoolCash account, as well as a parent letter answering some questions.
FAQ:
Is this a requirement before a student receives a Chromebook?
Yes. This form must be signed before we will issue out a device.
When can parents start to log in and sign?
The item is attached to all students right now.
What about new enrollees? How do they sign?
SchoolCash syncs up with our systems each night. So if a parent completes enrollment (and the registrar completes the process) before say 5 pm today, they would be able to create their SchoolCash account tomorrow and sign the form.
How will parents know they need to complete this step?
We are asking that you share this information with your parents so they will know there is an electronic form to sign this year.

Dismissal Update
PERIMETER OF THE CAMPUS
Two weeks ago, I invited several Directors from the district to witness the morning and afternoon drop-off/pick-up lines and traffic concerns. Several concerns were shared and options are being considered. The district is reviewing our layout in the construction design. We are aware of the want for walkers however, the safety concerns are great. We are open to ideas and will be discussing solutions during our CPOC (Campus Performance Objective Committee) meeting which includes: teachers, community members, parents, and business representatives.
Please know that I am listening and working for solutions to help our families while protecting the safety of our students.
***We do not have walkers before or after school. Those walking are doing so at their own risk. Letting children out of vehicles to walk across Schroeder, the bus lane, or entering the back of the building without accessible doors is unsafe.
At this time, I still have only had a request from 3 parents for walkers. That is a small population. I will reach out to those individual families that have completed the Walker Application individually. The walker application will close on Saturday, September 18th.
Before moving staff and adjusting all of our end-of-day duties, I need a better count. If you are interested in your child being a walker, please complete the form below.
School Board Candidate Forum:
The candidate forum will be held on October 12, 2021, at the Berry Center from 7 pm - 9 pm. There are multiple candidates in this year’s election.
Thank you Families
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures are already going so much better. Thank you for following the statements below.
By arriving on time and enjoying breakfast, socializing, and walking to class together your children start their day off in a great mood and ready to learn. Children hate walking into their class late. It can throw off their entire day. We spend time consoling and building them back up for a strong day. Children love structure and visiting with their peers. It is so important for their social growth. Please try to arrive before the bell at 8:00 AM. It may mean getting in line a few minutes earlier but every little bit helps.
We asked...YOU MADE IT HAPPEN! Thank you
COMPLETE: * Please do not park at the Vet office across the street in the morning. They are being kind but their clients are not able to get in the parking lot. They are not part of CFISD.
COMPLETE *There is a sign in the front going into the parking lot that states, NO LEFT TURN. Please follow the sign. We have already had a couple of accidents this year by cars not following the traffic signs and almost hitting our staff.
COMPLETE * A new walking path has been laid in the front of the building for parents wanting to continue to walk their children to the front. Several parents are walking in the middle of the parking lot. By not moving to the right, traffic is being held up for all.
GETTING THERE *Car rider line, please have your children ready when you pull up to the door. Putting on shoes, putting items in the backpacks slows it down for all families.
School Hours
8:00-3:30
Doors will open at 7:40 for students to begin entering. They may choose to go get their breakfast or head to class. Breakfast doors close at 8:00 am and breakfast is stopped being served.
At 8:00 am, our car rider team leaves their duty to begin working with their students in the classroom. If you arrive after 8:00 am, please park and walk your children to the door to check them in as staff will not be outside.
Tardy is 8:05.
***Parents, please do not drop your children off in the back as the staff is not posted to let your children in the building.

Hancock Safety Protocols
Prevention:
Self-Monitoring
- Students, staff, and visitors must screen daily (prior to entering a school bus or school) for symptoms of COVID-19. If symptoms are experienced, individuals must not report to school or work until evaluated by a licensed healthcare provider.
Quarantine and Isolation:
- Students who show symptoms of COVID-19 at school will be evaluated by the nurse and will be excluded in accordance with CFISD communicable disease exclusion criteria.
- Students or staff members who test positive for COVID-19 must meet established criteria as stated in the “Isolation and Readmission Criteria Protocol” before returning to school or work.
Masks
Per Gov. Greg Abbott’s Executive Order, face masks cannot be mandated in schools; however, the CDC recommends universal masking of all individuals in K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status.
- Face masks are optional for all CFISD students and staff.
- Face masks must meet the “Student Code of Conduct” and dress code requirements.
- Bus drivers will provide disposable masks to students upon request.
- Parents of students in grades Pre-K through five may request that their child be placed with other masked students in classrooms and other common areas, such as large group areas, cafeterias, playgrounds, and buses, to the extent feasible. Requests should be made to campus administration.
General:
- To promote good hand hygiene, all campuses have soap dispensers in all restrooms and hand sanitizer dispensers in all classrooms, building and cafeteria entrances, and buses.
- Students, staff, and parents will frequently be reminded of good hygiene practices, including frequent and thorough handwashing, using hand sanitizer, and covering coughs and sneezes. See “Hand Hygiene Protocol”.
Disinfection
- High touch surfaces, buses, classrooms, restrooms, gyms, locker rooms, and other areas will be disinfected with a hospital-grade/EPA-registered disinfectant nightly and throughout the day as needed.
- The cafeteria will be disinfected with a hospital-grade/EPA-registered disinfectant after each lunch period. Students will throw their trash away.
Ventilation
- To reduce contaminants in the air in all district facilities, CFISD has increased the introduction of outside air, improved air filtration, increased airflow, and ensured ventilation systems are cleaned and operating properly.
- The scheduled start time was moved to 3 hours before school begins to bring more treated outdoor air into all facilities.
- The HVAC department regularly inspects all outdoor air dampers to make sure they are open and cleaned and sanitizes all air handler coil surfaces and drain pans on a regular schedule.
- The temperature setpoint at all facilities has been lowered and MERV 13 filters have been installed in units capable of accommodating increased filtration as recommended by the CDC.
- District facilities have between six and eight air changes every hour ensuring clean air in district facilities.
