Pine Ridge Prep Update
October 19, 2020
Welcome from Mrs. Tanner & Mrs. Banzhaf
Dear Pine Ridge Prep Families,
It's hard to believe that we are at the end of October already. With that being said, please make sure your student wears a jacket/coat to school. We will be going outside for recess unless the windchill is 20 degrees or below. Fall events will be held next week. Please look below for details and watch for information and details coming home with your student.
Students are busy learning to retell stories and identifying characters and setting. When you read to your student at home, ask them to retell the story. Ask who the characters are and what the setting is. I bet they can tell you!
We are entering into the flu and cold season. If your student is sick, please call the school to let us know so that we may excuse them.
We hope to see you all at our Fall Fling parade next Friday, October 30th!! As always, if you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Thank you for the privilege of serving you ~
Mrs. Gabrielle Tanner, Principal
Mrs. Shelley Banzhaf, Building Leader Intern
Fall Fling & Parade
The Pine Ridge Prep Fall Fling will be held on Friday, October 30th. We will be implementing additional safety measures this year as we want to ensure all students, staff and families stay healthy!
Students must wear their costumes over a full set of clothes to school that day. Please make sure costumes are school appropriate - no blood, fake weapons, clowns, etc. We will have a “Pumpkin Patch” that all students will visit to pick out their pumpkin and then decorate it in their classroom. The All School Parade will begin at 3:00pm with the Owl Room. The Deer Room will begin at 3:15 and Rabbit Room will begin at 3:30. We will parade around the playground, located behind the classrooms.
Family members are welcome to watch the parade, but due to safety protocols will not be given access inside the classrooms. Anyone who is watching the parade will need to maintain 6’ of social distancing from others outside of their household. Signs will be placed along the fence to show safe distances for families to watch from. Please remain on the outside of the fence. Face masks are required for anyone on school grounds. As a reminder, outside food is not permitted at Pine Ridge Prep, so please do not send candy or other treats from home.
